20 years of guiding urban
girls to bold and bright futures
In 2004, Cheryl founded The Evoluer House, which has helped change the outlook of teen girls of color who are experiencing unique social and emotional challenges, and barriers to success. The Evoluer House, a White House recognized award-winning nonprofit organization, delivers evidence-based empowerment programs that help girls to envision a future devoid of disadvantages and filled with possibilities. It is on a mission to help produce strong female leadership in the workforce and in society, by investing in young women and girls and their collective well-being and power. As a testament to its success, over 3,000 girls have graduated from Evoluer's programs. One hundred percent of those graduates attend four-year colleges or other institutes of higher learning.
